# Contributing to cardinal

## Legal hurdle

When you contribute code, you affirm that the contribution is your
original work and that you license the work to the project under the
project's open source license.

Whether or not you state this explicitly, by submitting any copyrighted
material via pull request, email, or other means you agree to license the
material under the project's open source license and warrant that you have
the legal authority to do so.

## Code of conduct

Dataiku is dedicated to providing a harassment free and inclusive experience
in order for the community to enjoy a safe and positive collaboration. All 
contributors agree to follow this Code of Conduct when contributing to
cardinal.

We take violations of this policy seriously and we do not tolerate harassment
of other contributors in any form, including, but not limited to, harassment
based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation,
disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or any other
status. Harassment includes the use of abusive, offensive or degrading
language, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording,
inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery and unwelcome sexual advances
or requests.

### Expected Behavior

Treat each other well. Every contributor has a right to enjoy their experience
without fear of harassment or discrimination.

When contributing:

* Treat everyone with respect;
* Be considerate and collaborative;
* Act in a fair and responsible way;
* Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech;

### Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have
any other concerns, please seek out to the main contributors. You may also
report any unacceptable behavior by emailing cardinal@dataiku.com
