This was causing content to render properly during print-preview (which takes the upper codepath) but not during actual printing (which takes the lower codepath, the one where I'm adding the new call). 479de00 Gijs Kruitbosch 25 November 2021, 22:49:00 UTC Bug 1742801 - do not consume the user gesture from ClickHandlerChild if ClickHandlerParent will ignore the click anyway, r=edgar a=RyanVM This commit does a couple of things: - move whereToOpenLink and getRootEvent implementations into BrowserUtils, so they can be used from the child process. - forward callers in utilityOverlay.js to the BrowserUtils ones (bug 1742889 will get rid of the forwarding and update all the callers; we might be able to get this and bug 1739929 into beta if risk is low enough, and touching a bunch of extra files really doesn't help with that) - move the lazy-load of BrowserUtils from browser.js to utilityOverlay.js This is safe because everywhere that loads browser.js also loads utilityOverlay.js. It's needed because there are some places that use utilityOverlay.js but not browser.js, and so now they need access to BrowserUtils.jsm. - use whereToOpenLink to determine if we should avoid consuming the transient user gesture activation in the child click handling code. - add an automated test based on the testcase in the bug. When working on this, I initially put the check using whereToOpenLink in the toplevel of the function, and then when I ran places test to check that I hadn't broken any places consumers of whereToOpenLink or getRootEvent, realized that I had broken `browser_markPageAsFollowedLink.js`, because it relies on "normal" (ie no modifier key, left button) link clicks making it to ClickHandlerParent.jsm . I filed bug 1742894 about this. I've not tried to fix that here, instead I've tried to ensure that paths through this function are as untouched as possible while still fixing bug 1739929 and bug 1742801. It turns out that it wasn't really needed for determining if a page should be blocked from the BFCache, since we just need to know if there are any requests in the loadgroup, and if so, if all it contains is just one request with an id. We can keep a count of relevant requests in the loadgroup. When the count changes to 1, on adding we can inspect the request that's being added, and on removal we can inspect the requests in the loadgroup (which should be now be cheap enough, since there's only 1 relevant request in the list). I used the wrong format for default named arguments in JavaScript. I accidentally used { namedArg1, namedArg2 } = { namedArg1: "default1", namedArg2: "default2" } instead of { namedArg1 = "default1", namedArg2 = "default2" } = {}. 2. Some of the tests were passing a boolean as the second argument to simulateRestart, which is not expected. This caused a whole host of issues, including some tests not waiting for the cache to be ready when doing the restart simulation. (2) is what ultimately caused the intermittent failure for bug 1648886 - sometimes the about:home startup cache would "win" the race and the cache data would be available, and sometimes it would "lose" the race. Now we correctly wait for the cache to be available before proceeding with the test so that the cache "wins" every time. ca51aff alwu 18 October 2021, 18:40:43 UTC Bug 1731430 - detect and discard the partial AAC output samples on Windows MFT decoder. r=bryce,padenot a=RyanVM On Windows 11, we found a bug in MFT decoder, when calling draining multiple times, even if there is nothing to drain, the decoder doesn't return `MF_E_TRANSFORM_NEED_MORE_INPUT`, but return an invalid sample instead. The decoder will also return another invalid sample after draining, those two samples are all partial size and combining them together makes the perfect size. Those invalid samples are all silence and make us have a lots those samples whenever we drain the decoder, which causes audio stuttering. Therefore, we want to ignore those invalid samples. At the time we wrote this patch, there is no any API to detect whether users are using Windows 11 or not, so we aren't able to make the change only happening on Windows 11 enviroment.
