Revision 5afeef2366db14587b65558bbfd5a067542e07fb authored by Johan Hovold on 03 January 2017, 15:39:59 UTC, committed by Johan Hovold on 04 January 2017, 09:43:48 UTC
Fix NULL-pointer dereference in open() should the device lack the
expected endpoints:

Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000030
...
PC is at oti6858_open+0x30/0x1d0 [oti6858]

Note that a missing interrupt-in endpoint would have caused open() to
fail.

Fixes: 49cdee0ed0fc ("USB: oti6858 usb-serial driver (in Nokia CA-42
cable)")

README
Linux kernel
============

This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst

Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users.
These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF.

In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``.

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.

Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
