When we are on OSX and we are launching cmake-gui from a symlink, the application will fail to launch as it can't find the qt.conf file which tells it what the name of the plugin folder is. We need to add this path BEFORE the application is constructed as that is what triggers the searching for the platform plugins

Patches

Please base all new work on the ``master`` branch. Then use
``git format-patch`` to produce patches suitable to post to
the mailing list.

We use `clang-format`_ to define our style for C++ code in the CMake source
tree. See the `.clang-format`_ configuration file for our style settings.
Use ``clang-format`` version 3.8 or higher to format source files.
